CV Heap uses a fundamentally different approach to job matching. Instead of keyword searches and basic filters, we build a comprehensive picture of both candidates and positions.

The Score Card System

At the heart of CV Heap is a very large score card. This score card captures thousands of data points about your career history, preferences, and work style. It also captures detailed information about every job in our database.

When you submit your CV data through Git, a non-web process fetches the update and generates a numbers-only score card. This approach ensures your raw data is never exposed through a web interface.

Matching Process

  1. Data Collection: You provide your complete career history through Git (GitHub or GitLab)
  2. Score Card Generation: Our system generates a detailed numbers-only score card from your data
  3. Comparison: Your score card is compared against every job in our database
  4. Results: You see only the best matches, ranked by compatibility

Mutual Interest

When you find a match you like, you can “Show Interest.” If the employer also shows interest in you, both parties are notified. This prevents one-sided leverage and ensures genuine mutual matches.
